Pastor Paul Miller

Paul Miller is the Senior Pastor here at the Hopeland.  Paul is responsible for ensuring that Hopeland United Methodist is on course and actively working on God's calling on the people and congregation of Hopeland.  You can usually find Pastor Paul floating around between the different Sunday Schools on Sunday morning. Previously, he served at Zion United Methodist in Schaefferstown, PA, as Senior Pastor, and most recently at St. Paul's United Methodist in Elizabethtown, PA as Teaching Pastor.

He and his wife Kelly live in Leola, where they raise their three boys and baby girl and Kelly does her best to ensure *all* the boys stay out of trouble.

Pastor Russ Eberly

Russ Eberly is the Assistant Pastor here at the Hopeland.  He coordinates Youth Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, and Small Groups.  In addition, Russ teaches Adult Sunday School, and assists with other pastoral duties including counseling, visitation and preaching. Previously, he served at Mt. Hope UMC in Quarryville, the Bethany UMC in Wescosville, PA, and at Cheltenham UMC in Montgomery County, PA. Pastor Russ has taught World Religions at Delaware Valley Community College for 13 years.

He and his wife, Jeanne, live in Ephrata, where Jeanne is a pharmacist at Royer Pharmacy.  He is the proud father of three adult children, Josh, Jill and Shannon.

Michael Eppel - Children & Family Ministry Director

Michael Eppel is the Children and Family Ministry Director at Hopeland United Methodist Church. He is responsible for overseeing and providing needed support for Children’s Church, Sunday School (pre-K to grade 5), and especially Vacation Bible School in the summer. He has a love for bringing the gospel to young ears and watching their little mustard seeds of belief blossom into unshakeable trees of faith. Additionally, Michael will be guiding much of the church outreach to spiritually connect Hopeland with the surrounding community.

Michael is currently in the process of earning his Master of Divinity in Christian Apologetics from Liberty University to foster his continued development as a church leader. He and his wife, Katie, live in Lititz where they enjoy walking their loyal pooch around the neighborhood, watching the Eagles win (or lose if they must), and eating all the tasty food Amish Country has to offer.

 

Church Service

Church Services are Sunday mornings at 10:10 AM. We also have an 8:15 AM service June through August.

Sunday School

Hopeland Church has children’s classes for ages 3 through fifth grade, youth class for grades 6-12, young adult classes for ages near 25-30, and adult classes to anyone 18 and older. A nursery is available for infants.

Sunday school classes begin at 9:00 AM. and end at 10:00 AM, dispersing in time for the Sunday worship service.
