HOYA
HOYA group started as a "Hopeland Young Adults" group but has aged to become a "middle-aged" adult group. HOYA consists primarily of couples, but you do not need to be married to join the group. Anyone is welcome. We typically meet the first Tuesday of the month from August through May, and the location varies; it is held at the residence of those who volunteer to host. Meetings consist of fellowship, snacks, and a short lesson/devotion. We try and do some social events throughout the year, as well as a weekend retreat in August, with kids.
Men's Group
Our men’s group provides faith support among our male membership through socialization and mission outreach. The group meets at 7 a.m. in Faith Fellowship Hall for breakfast and a short devotion on the second Saturday of each month. The meal usually features a guest speaker. Any male ages 2 to 102 can join us.
Also, the Men's Fellowship Group has a barbecue every October and hosts a Ladies Breakfast in May. Every year, we alternate between going on a Missions Trip or a Men's Retreat.
Senior Luncheons
The Senior Luncheon is for ages 65 and older. We meet twice a year at Udder Choice, in the fall and the spring, for lunch and fellowship.
Simple Suppers/Soup Suppers
All are invited to a Simple/Soup Suppers during the fall months and during Lent (please see the calendar for exact dates). This is a Thursday evening fellowship, which includes a short devotion presented by a member of the congregation. Simple Suppers begin at 6 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, and there is no cost (donations are accepted). All are invited.
Snappy Snippers
We gather to knot quilts, sewn by our members, and blessed upon completion before being presented as gifts. The quilts are given in celebration, comfort, or care to members of our congregation and community. Gatherings include a short devotional and an opportunity for fellowship. Anyone with or without sewing skills is welcome to join.
Snappy Snippers meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at the Youth Center.
Softball Team
Come join a championship team. Anyone 15 and over, male or female, can play in this league. The season starts in April and runs until the end of July. We play one or two games a week against other church teams in the area.
WILD Women
WILD Women (Women in Loving Devotion) provides an opportunity for the women of Hopeland Church to connect with each other and with God. Outreach programs focus on social, educational, service, and devotionals through events such as cookie exchanges, a “Reading to Children” seminar, chocolate fest, and more.
Women age 18 or older are welcome to join and deepen their faith journeys through fellowship. Most activities take place at the church.
