Sunday School
Hopeland UM Church has children’s classes for ages 3 through fifth grade, youth class for grades 6-12, young adult classes for ages near 25-30, and adult classes to anyone 18 and older. A nursery is available for infants.
All ages (except the youth who are members of Hopeland UM Youth Group) meet in Faith Fellowship Hall on the lower level of the church at 9 a.m. for singing and announcements. Classes disperse from there and end at 10 a.m., in time for the church service.
Children's Church
Children's Church is a fun and exciting way for children age 4 through grade 5 to learn about God and meet new friends. Children are excused midway through church service to Room 212, where they will discover God’s word through a variety of crafts, games, and other activities.
Nursery
Hopeland UMC's Nursery provides a safe environment where parents can feel comfortable leaving their children to attend Sunday School and Church. It is staffed by loving adults and youth helpers.
Children ages birth to 3 are cared for in a cheerful nursery room during Sunday School, starting at 9 a.m., and through church service, beginning at 10:10.
Vacation Bible School
Hopeland UM Bible School helps introduce children ages 4 through grade 5 to the teachings of Jesus through engaging activities, such as music, games, refreshments, and crafts. Children are taught about the love of Christ, and the kids (and staff) have a fun time all week.
Meetings for the planning committee are held as needed, starting in January (to choose the curriculum) and then more frequently as the date approaches.
Carnival
Our church carnival is a fun-filled event for families and friends of our church, as well as the community of Hopeland. We have games, prizes, a jumping castle, and a dunk tank. Following the carnival, we have bingo and dinner. Volunteers are welcome to join its planning committee.
The annual church carnival is held at Hopeland Park, weather permitting (alternatively, Hopeland UMC Youth Center). Our carnival takes place the third Saturday in July.
